“A diabetic patient from Tamil Nadu had requested for medicines and timely food for three days. No one cared.

Nagpur: Muslims face social boycott in Buldhana, businesses face the crunch
With 17 positive cases of Covid-19, Buldhana is the second most-affected district of Vidarbha. As 16 of the 17 patients are Muslims, this has led to the community facing a social boycott, cited by social and political activists and published in a TOI report.
Earlier many international channels had reported on the segregation of Muslim and Hindu patients in a Hospital in Gujarat calling it a case of “apartheid” during a global pandemic.
Many Fake news and rumours on social media have contributed to the boycott of Muslim businesses. Many reports have emerged that Muslims aren’t allowed to carry out business in Hindu majority areas in Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.
