Modi didn’t claim 1 crore Corona Patients treated for free. Fake Quote attributed to PM Modi Viral on Social Media

A Quote attributed to PM Modi stating he had claimed that 1 crore corona patients were treated free of cost in India was shared by India TV which has gone viral on social Media.

In his “Mann ki Baat” radio address, the prime minister had said more than one crore patients imply that more than one crore families of the country have benefited from the Ayushman Bharat scheme. He wasn’t talking about the corona patient but explaining the “success’ of Ayushman Bharat scheme.

India Today while telecasting the Radio program wrote a misleading quote that ‘ 1 crore corona patients were treated free of cost.

Soon the screenshot of the quote went viral on social media.
Many people started mocking PM Modi without realising that the quote was fake.

Modi claims 1 crore corona patients treated for free.
But India has less than 2L.
Whole world has only 62L as on date.

The tweet was retweeted more than 3000 times. Other users also shared the screenshot mocking PM Modi.

India TV issues apology

India TV has issued an apology regarding the wrong quote where PM Modi was talking about all Ayushman Bharat beneficiaries but India TV wrote it as corona patients.
