A video of an injured speech impaired man has gone viral on social media with the claim that he was attacked by miscreants for offering namaz beside the road.
The viral message claimed that the man was walking towards Shimoga and some miscreants attacked the mute man for praying beside the road. The injured man was helped by the passerby in a bike who also shot the video.
The video was shared by several people on twitter including verified accounts.

Police investigation revealed that the claim in the viral message was false.
Although its true that the speech impaired man was attacked by few miscreants, the police has denied that the attack was carried out for praying.
The injured has been admitted to Meggan hospital. The police started the investigation as soon as they came to know about the incident said, Mr. K. M Santaraju (SP of Shivamogga District)
The injured is speech impaired, he cannot understand Kannada so experts in sign language were called and questioned. The investigation found that the man had encountered a minor car accident and got into a scuffle with the people in a car who hit him and drove away.
