Media Scanner is a fact checking site that is dedicated to debunking myths, misinformation and propaganda that we hear on a regular basis, on social media or as in traditional media.
Media Scanner’s fact-checks cover a wide variety of misleading details including:

• Political Fact-Checking : scrutinizing statements made in positions of power across the political spectrum by political groups, leaders and other individuals
• Rumors on social media : debunking myths and rumors on social platforms and,
• Mass media disinformation and bias : investigating false or inaccurate facts disseminated by mainstream media, either unintentionally or with the intention of manipulating popular sentiment in favor of a political group
