Several twitter users expressed their anger against Journalist Aditya Kanwal for mocking the poor and orphan Madrasa kids in his ” Investigative Journalism”.
Delhi based journalist Aditya Menon tweeted:
“Most children staying at Madrasas are ones who have nowhere to go. Many are orphans. The best perhaps only alternative for them in lockdown was to stay where they are. Shameful of @IndiaToday to target such Madrasas. Also @msisodia are you ignorant or bigoted to talk of FIR?”

CPI (ML) leader Kavita Krishnan posted a video message and lashed out Rahul kanwal for his poison peddling shows. “Instead of asking the government, you are busy grinding your communal acts. Shame on you,” said the CPI-ML leader.
Had to do this @IndiaToday@sardesairajdeep.
Here is an open video message (in Hindi, and then in English in the next tweet) on Rahul Kanwal’s poison

Soon Twitterers started trending #ThooRahulKanwalThoo.
A Twitter user wrote,
Madrasas are often orphanages. Some of these orphans are so poor that they can’t even afford footwear; they walk barefoot. Do you want Madrasas to throw these poor kids out & leave them to fend for themselves? Yateem ki baddua lagegi tum sabhi ko. #ThooRahulKanwalThoo

Here are some of the reactions on Twitter :
Things would have been different if media had representation from the marginalized sections ; the Dalit – Bahujans, Muslims ! On the contrary, it has become a tool for hate-mongering against muslims and being silent on caste.#ThooRahulKanwalThoo

Thank God, @rahulkanwal did not go to Dharavi. Otherwise he would have ‘exposed’ the ‘poor’ for not practicing enough social distancing, for living in cramped small houses. Basically, he would have trolled the poor for being poor. #PehleHealthCare
