Twitter has blocked the account of Uttar Kannada MP and former union minister Anantkumar Hegde for violating the Twitter rules. The Minister has alleged this to be a part of the conspiracy by twitter against India in his Facebook post.
The former Minister had written an objectionable post against the Tableeghi jamaat on 22nd April 2020. Twitter has asked him to take it down to unblock his account from posting. His Verified Twitter account has 74000+ followers and is active since 2016.
Mr. Hegde has refused to take down the objectionable tweet from his account. “I am not going to take down the tweet at any cost. My country, ideology is more important to me than anti-national social media account” he wrote in his FB post.
